Licensing research · QUICK REFERENCE
A historical licence screenshot
A saved register screenshot is evidence of what was captured at a particular moment. Record when it was taken, where it came from and whether the original entry can still be checked. The screenshot should not silently become a claim about the present.
A practical checklist
- Retain the original file.
- Attach its source URL and capture date.
- Separate historical observations from new checks.
Putting it in context
A screenshot dated three years ago can explain an older review. A current-status paragraph needs its own evidence instead of simply reusing that image.
Keep in mind
A screenshot can be incomplete or altered; preserve provenance and seek the original source.
