Operator identity · QUICK REFERENCE
Similar names and mistaken matches
Name searches often produce businesses that merely sound alike. Before attaching an adverse record to an operator, compare the company suffix, registration identifier, domain and country named in the source. A mismatch deserves a note rather than a confident identification.
A practical checklist
- Compare at least two identifiers where available.
- Keep search results separate from confirmed matches.
- Write down why a candidate was excluded.
Putting it in context
Example Gaming Ltd and Example Games LLC should remain separate candidates until documentary evidence connects them. Similarity is insufficient for a public allegation.
Keep in mind
A search engine ranking is not an identity match.
