Why a screenshot of a balance is limited
A displayed balance is an observation about an interface. It does not, by itself, establish ownership of assets, availability of funds or the accuracy of the underlying records. Preserve it as part of a wider case file with the page, date and relevant correspondence.
A practical checklist
- Record where the figure appeared.
- Keep the original units and labels.
- Separate interface evidence from settlement evidence.
Putting it in context
A screenshot can support the statement that a page displayed a certain amount. It cannot alone establish that the amount was accessible or that a transfer occurred.
Keep in mind
Treat unexplained screenshots as incomplete evidence rather than proof of financial strength.
