Writing a country-specific research note

A country note should state its research question before discussing any evidence. Name the jurisdiction, operator entity, domain and date, then separate official material from editorial interpretation. If those details cannot be established, publish the uncertainty rather than a green or red availability label.

A practical checklist

  1. Define the exact territory being discussed.
  2. Use sources from the relevant authority.
  3. State whether current status was established.

Putting it in context

An Australian enforcement notice can support a paragraph about that notice. It cannot establish the operator's status in every country represented by the site's readers.

Keep in mind

This publication does not determine whether an individual may gamble.
