Reviewing account sessions
If a service offers a session or device list, review it through the genuine account settings. Unexpected entries deserve investigation, but location labels alone may be imprecise. Follow the provider's guidance for securing access and changing compromised credentials.
A practical checklist
- Look for devices or sessions you do not recognise.
- Check recent security notifications.
- Secure the associated email account too.
Putting it in context
A location label can differ from your physical location. Consider device information and timestamps together rather than treating a city name as conclusive proof of intrusion.
Keep in mind
If access is lost, use the provider's verified recovery process rather than third-party recovery promises.
