Sharing evidence with a trusted adviser
Before transferring a case file, confirm who will receive it, why they need it and how they want it supplied. An adviser may need fuller records than a public audience, but that does not make every attachment relevant. Keep a record of what you shared.
A practical checklist
- Confirm the recipient through an established channel.
- Send an attachment index with the files.
- Retain a copy of the shared bundle.
Putting it in context
If a new email address requests your full file, verify it independently before sending. The request's familiarity with your case does not authenticate the address.
Keep in mind
This publication does not recommend any particular adviser or secure-transfer service.
