When support cites an unnamed rule

A reference to our policy is hard to investigate without a clause or document. Ask for the title, relevant section and version date in writing. Preserve the request and response, including any refusal to identify the rule, as part of the case record.

A practical checklist

  1. Request a link and section number.
  2. Ask which version applies to the event.
  3. Keep the original support message.

Putting it in context

A response linking an entire help centre still may not identify the actual basis of a decision. Your follow-up can stay narrow: which published clause is being relied on?

Keep in mind

Clear documentation cannot guarantee that a dispute will be resolved.
